Joe – Thanks for stopping by. Yes, I should think that a fair comparison would be between “followers of mohammed” and “followers of Jesus”.
But the larger point, as I suggest, is that the very notion of following implies choice. In many countries that’s absent.
It’s an apples-to-watermelons comparison to talk about one group that’s effectively dragged in chains versus another that willingly follows and has the free choice with no repercussions not to follow.

Shouldn’t the number of Muslims be compared to the number of Christians? Could you compare the number of Catholics to the number of, say, Sunni? And why would you do that anyway?
There’s a lot of oddities in reports of that kind, and when you think about it, I’m not sure it means very much.
