The second major piece I linked to yesterday speculates about July 11th being a key date for something, perhaps a large terrorist attack on/in New York City. (The first strikes similar chords and is well worth reading but it is less specific about a date).
In that vein, here’s a little something that came to me on a run yesterday:
Take September 11th, 2001 and add…
7 years
7 months
7 weeks
7 days, and
777 hours
(seven sevens!)
Then add a three-day grace period, and you land on…
The next Hebrew sabbath (Saturday, July 11th).
Draw your own conclusions. Meantime I’ll be practicing straight-jacket escape techniques.
Side note: July 8th, 2009 marks the 70-Hebrew-year anniversary of the start of the Battle of Britain (July 10, 1940).
UPDATE: OK, I’m going to stop now before I completely freak myself out on this…
…at least two other oddities stand out as possible evidence of a bizarre and occult synchronicity at work during the events of 9/11. On this date the Pentagon—located on the 77th meridian west and whose foundation stone was laid during a Masonic ceremony on 9/11, 1941—was also attacked. The number 77 happens to be the fire department’s 10-Code (10-77) for a high-rise multiple dwelling fire. More important, the number 77, like the number 11, is a powerful Master Number, which occultists believe represents the ascension of a New Age Christ “consciousness.” The Islamic radicals that attacked the United States on 9/11 would have known that the number 77 is prominent in the religion of Islam, partly due to a statement by their prophet Muhammad, which is interpreted as faith having “77 branches.” In the Book of Luke 3:23-38, there were 77 generations from Adam to Jesus Christ. There were 77 generations from Enoch to Christ according to one account. In some versions of the Bible such as the International Standard Version, 77 is the number of times to forgive offenses (most versions read “seventy times seven”). Conversely, Saint Augustine thought the number 77 represented the ultimate measure of sin because it was a product of the “sin” number (11) times the number of divinity or “perfection” (7), thus 11 X 7 = 77. Perhaps this is also why Satanists have 77 names for the Devil.

This may be totally off base, but I have included a quote from one of my prophecy update emails I subscribe to and it links pushing Israel to give up land with natural disasters. Obama is going to be at that G8 conference… he will probably be pushing Israel once again for a two state solution. Maybe we will be paying the price for that…
[We will. No question. Support for the Jewish people, as a people, in the land God gave them, free from the corruption and danger of those around them has been an implicit and later, an explicit cornerstone of this country since before its founding. Until last January, that is. That said, there are many prophecy watchers who claim that this or that earthquake or this or that hailstorm, hurricane, tornado cluster, etc. proves that these things are increasing.
Statistically, they are not -- yet... in any meaningful way. We have to be careful lest we fall into the trap with the 'climate change' crowd. When the 'natural' disasters described in Revelation come, there will be no doubt. None at all. -ed.]
We all know Genesis 12:3 where God declares that He “will bless those who bless you,” and “curse him who curses you.” But many may not know that there is a curse for those who try and divide Israel’s land. Joel 3:2 declares that God “will enter into judgment … on account of My people, My heritage Israel, whom they have scattered among the nations; They have also divided up My land.”
The same day Jewish settlers were being removed from the Gaza Strip, America was hit with a hurricane called Katrina.
William Koenig, in his book “Eye to Eye,” documented a list of American disasters that coincide directly with U.S. pressure to divide Israel, including:
· Hurricane Andrew (Aug. 23, 1992), when the Madrid Peace Conference moved to Washington, D.C., to pressure Israel to divide their land.
· The 6.9 Northridge Earthquake in Southern California (Jan. 16, 1994), when Clinton met with Syria’s president to discuss Israel giving up the Golan Heights where half of their fresh drinking water is found.
· Hurricane George (Sept. 28, 1998) when Secretary of State Albright pressured Israel to give up parts of Judah and Samaria.
· Texas Flood (Oct. 15-22, 1998) following a meeting with you, Mr. Prime Minister, and President Clinton with Yasser Arafat over Israel giving up 13 percent of the West Bank. On Oct. 21 of that year, a quarter of Texas was declared by Clinton a major disaster area.
· A “super tornado” across Oklahoma and Kansas (May 3, 1999) with 316 mph winds – the highest winds ever recorded – the day Yasser Arafat was scheduled to declare a Palestinian state with Jerusalem as the capital.
· Hurricanes Gustav, Hanna and Ike (Aug. 25-Sept. 13, 2008) following Secretary Condoleezza Rice’s pressure to sign a treaty for a Palestinian state with Jerusalem as its capital.
· A 4.7 earthquake hit L.A. Sunday night when you, Mr. Prime Minister, arrived in the U.S. to meet with President Obama who is pushing to divide your land even further. Many are looking to the weather reports for what may follow.

Hello,
You’re on to something and you’re not the only one receiving this message from the Holy Spirit. Yes, the rapture of the Bride of Christ is upon us.
Yes, there are about to be some major judgments brought upon our land, “indeed a crucible of love” to bring many to repentance, but not for His Bride. She bows without being baked in the sun, she only has to be tossed in the wind to get to the fruit.
I don’t know if you know of the site http://www.fivedoves.com, but you’ll find lots of witnesses to July 7-8, 2009, July 11, 2009, there’s a search feature on the site. Just type in the date and you’ll see lots of witnesses.
These are people trying to put together the rapture puzzle and are seeking God.
Same Holy Spirit.
Jesus is Lord!

“The Stone rejected by the builders has become the Conerstone” so many times quoted in the Scriptures as in Psalm 118 and in so many parts of Sacred Scripiture have been the Foundation of
many parts if our Catholic and Christian belief and for a person like myself that I would consider not as faithful as is required by the Commandments and by our Creed yet we find the Muslim doctrine has stolen so much but the true fact is that they worship stones in Mecca that have predated Jesus Christ birth by better than 1500 years and Our Lord said that the Devil and Evil one has been in the world long before His Divine Immaculate Birth to Our Blessed Mother!
[Don't forget that notions like 'before' and 'predate' only apply in our limited, human frame of reference. God is outside of time and Scripture makes clear that the Son was with the Father from the beginning, before even the earth was formed. Also don't forget that, unlike Him, satan is a created being, under God's sovereign rule. From our point of view, satan is ancient and crafty. That does not make him omnipotent or even close to it. -ed.]
What have the truths of Jesus Christ Life and Death on to Eternal at the Cross taught us, that there will be people like the Prophet Muhammad who try to plunder our faith and beliefs and it is so good to read the comments after the message has been given by the Scholars on the accounts in the lives of false prophets, occult thieves who raided both Jewish and Christian Scripture to found a FALSE faith! [link added. -ed.]
We can thank God for all His Truth and the Power of His Most Holy Spirit and the abundant LIFE of His Church through Christ Jesus.

Thanks, ultraguy. Your website has been so helpful in keeping me focused on the one thing needful in these increasingly creepy times.
If you’re looking for more 7s, according to the Orthodox Julian calendar, the nativity of St. John the Baptist falls on July 7th, just before the three-day grace period you identified at the end of the fast.
I appreciate your sober and watchful attitude. If you can get a copy, you might enjoy Averky Taushev’s The Apocalypse: In the Teachings of Ancient Christianity, which uses patristic commentary to interpret the book of Revelations. There are a lot of things about Orthodoxy that I think you would find appealing, including the spiritual discipline, the purity of patristic writings, the refusal to accommodate the faith to the spirit of the age, the mindfulness of the fulfillment of Old Testament prophecies, and the liturgy that is filled with symbolic references to Jewish temple worship.
The July 11th reference caught my eye not just because of the Apostles’ Fast but also because Lille, one of the largest cities in France, currently has an outdoor exhibit that runs through July 12th and that displays 13 giant demon statues along one of the main roads. The exhibit is called “Parade des Anges et Démons.” The text accompanying this “artwork” explains that it represents the idea that all good has evil in it and vice versa, and the text ends with, “Welcome to the New Age!” The city spent a small fortune in order to celebrate the demonic.
These are certainly days when we must redouble our efforts in fasting, praying, giving alms, studying the scriptures. Tigger is right that we must do these things freely and happily because they are helpful to us and are a way of picking up our cross, not because of a sense of being under the law and especially not with pride.
P.S. I wasn’t clear about the choosing of parish feast days. A parish can choose any day for its feast, depending on what saint or event the parish wishes to commemorate. But parishes that wish to have St. John the Baptist as their patron saint normally celebrate his nativity on July 7th, unlike the cathedral in Washington, DC.

WRT Delicious pork. As believers we are granted a great deal of liberty in our spiritual expression. The limit is that we not conduct ourselves in such a way as to become a problem for others of the faith.
1st Corinthians 8:1-13 KJV Now as touching things offered unto idols, we know that we all have knowledge. Knowledge puffeth up, but charity edifieth. (2) And if any man think that he knoweth any thing, he knoweth nothing yet as he ought to know. (3) But if any man love God, the same is known of him. (4) As concerning therefore the eating of those things that are offered in sacrifice unto idols, we know that an idol is nothing in the world, and that there is none other God but one. (5) For though there be that are called gods, whether in heaven or in earth, (as there be gods many, and lords many,) (6) But to us there is but one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we in him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we by him. (7) Howbeit there is not in every man that knowledge: for some with conscience of the idol unto this hour eat it as a thing offered unto an idol; and their conscience being weak is defiled. (8) But meat commendeth us not to God: for neither, if we eat, are we the better; neither, if we eat not, are we the worse. (9) But take heed lest by any means this liberty of yours become a stumblingblock to them that are weak. (10) For if any man see thee which hast knowledge sit at meat in the idol’s temple, shall not the conscience of him which is weak be emboldened to eat those things which are offered to idols; (11) And through thy knowledge shall the weak brother perish, for whom Christ died? (12) But when ye sin so against the brethren, and wound their weak conscience, ye sin against Christ. (13) Wherefore, if meat make my brother to offend, I will eat no flesh while the world standeth, lest I make my brother to offend.
As usual it takes two or three tries for G-d to get the message through Peter’s head –
Acts 10:9-16 KJV On the morrow, as they went on their journey, and drew nigh unto the city, Peter went up upon the housetop to pray about the sixth hour: (10) And he became very hungry, and would have eaten: but while they made ready, he fell into a trance, (11) And saw heaven opened, and a certain vessel descending unto him, as it had been a great sheet knit at the four corners, and let down to the earth: (12) Wherein were all manner of fourfooted beasts of the earth, and wild beasts, and creeping things, and fowls of the air. (13) And there came a voice to him, Rise, Peter; kill, and eat. (14) But Peter said, Not so, Lord; for I have never eaten any thing that is common or unclean. (15) And the voice spake unto him again the second time, What God hath cleansed, that call not thou common. (16) This was done thrice: and the vessel was received up again into heaven.

OK, now I’m getting shivers…
The numerical conjecture that inspired this post came to me on what I now discover was Orthodox All-Saints day (June 14, 2009).
The Apostles’ Fast that WSIF mentions above starts today (June 15, 2009). (I don’t think I’ve even set foot in an Orthodox church, though a friend is observant Russian Orthodox. I had no idea.)

According to the old Orthodox (Julian) calendar, July 11th is the very last day of the Apostles’ Fast, one of the four canonical fasting seasons of the year. On that same calendar, September 11th falls on the feast of the beheading of St. John the Baptist, which is one of very few “feast” days that are actually solemn fasts. When the Russian Orthodox Cathedral of Washington, DC was founded, Saint John of Shanghai and San Francisco insisted that the parish must have as its feast day the beheading of St. John the Baptist. This is extremely unusual, because parishes like to have a big celebration on their parish feast, so most Orthodox parishes choose the nativity of St. John the Baptist as their feast day rather than the date that commemorates his beheading. The reason for Saint John of Shanghai’s insistence only became clear in 2001, when the liturgy was being served with its prayers for safety and salvation during the attack. Ever since 2001, the feast/fast day has new meaning.
[Amazing. Thanks for this. The history, in the context of Christ preparing the church for his return, is absolutely fascinating (and kinda sobering in light of the largely casual version of Christianity practiced by most these days). From Wikipedia::
"Having rejoiced for fifty days following Pascha (Easter), the Resurrection of Jesus Christ, the Apostles began to prepare for their departure from Jerusalem to spread Christ's message. According to Sacred Tradition, as part of their preparation, they began a fast with prayer to ask God to strengthen their resolve and to be with them in their missionary undertakings.
The scriptural foundation for the Fast is found in the Synoptic Gospels, when the Pharisees criticized the apostles for not fasting, Jesus said to them, "Can the children of the bridechamber mourn, as long as the Bridegroom is with them? But the days will come, when the Bridegroom shall be taken from them, and then shall they fast."[2] In the immediate sense, Christ was referring to his being taken to be crucified; but in the wider sense it is understood in terms of his Ascension into heaven, and his commission to preach the Gospel, which can only be accomplished with prayer and fasting.
The tradition of the Fast has existed at least since Pope Leo I (461 AD), as is evidenced by his homilies, though it has subsequently been forgotten in the West. The Fast is thought to have been instituted out of thanksgiving to God for the witness of the apostles of Christ. With this Fast, believers express their thanks for the apostles’ endurance of persecution during their mission.”
P.S., WSIF: I also like your moniker!! -ed.]
