I can think of little else to say about the ‘climate’ bill passing the House today beyond what God already said, via Paul, in Romans 1:25. Hubris and deliberate falsehood on a mind-boggling scale… just asking for a spanking.
UPDATE I: More in this WSJ piece. Essentially, the science is junk. (I have neither the time nor energy to dig up at least fifty posts showing why.) ‘Climate change’ (the myth formerly known as ‘global warming’) is a convenient fear-fiction promulgated by self-serving non-scientists to make the pill of punishing socialist-style taxation go down slightly easier. It will be sweet in their mouths and bitter in their stomachs. Even if the science were good, there is still the moral question. Many times more people die when it is colder than when its warmer.

We are often overcome with the rapid changes toward the dark side in this world. However, we must take comfort in these circumstances and resolve in our hearts that God is still on the throne. This is a consequence of our “falling away” and God’s permission for the empowerment of evil.

As in Iran, the functionally disenfranchised await a leader. Yet the time for reform and morally straight leadership in both countries my be past. What you have seen in Congress since January more closely resembles the quiescent German parliament after Hitler took power, than the robust Gingrich-led Congressional opposition in 1993.
Bill after massive bill is rammed through unread, undebated and unbelievably oblivious to the democratic process.
In the Senate it is just as bad. Harry Reid said of the first Wicca candidate for the Supreme Court that he had not read even one of her opinionions, and would count himslef fortunate if he did not do so before her confirmation. Is he under a spell? Are they all? How bizarre.
