Oh, my, goodness… I’m super-busy today (and doing a bit of blog-detox after a recent post-and-comment frenzy) but I can’t not blog the red-pill/blue-pill thing. (Watch for updates because there’s no way I’m going to finish in the time I have.)
“If there’s a blue pill and a red pill, and the blue pill is half the price of the red pill and works just as well, why not pay half price for the thing that’s going to make you well?” — President Obama
In last night’s press conference, President Obama seemed to be reliving that famous scene from The Matrix. The main character is offered a choice between a red pill that makes him see reality for what it is, and a blue pill that allows him to continue living in a pleasant world of illusions.
I’ve been an absolutely rabid ‘Matrix’ fan ever since the first film came out, though the increasingly sordid, lame and over-reaching sequels left me mostly flat, and co-director Larry Wachowski’s increasing perversity destroyed any blue-pill illusions I might have harbored that a movie drenched in and apparently architected to showcase Christian spiritual themes (as well as various sophisticated philosophical tenets) must have been made by a saint in order to have ‘punch’ and change lives for Christ.
But I’m getting way ahead of myself. The rabbit hole on this one goes very deep — far, far deeper than the barn-door opportunity the comment provided to heap well-deserved criticism on a ‘plan’ that’s half-baked at best, but mostly aimed at infecting the world with the cold, dead hand of centralized government bureaucracy and culture of death.
(gotta love the Spanish subtitles!)
In a comment last night here, Gretchen, who blogs at ‘The Sign of the Mustard Seed’ wrote of Obama, “isn’t it amazing how evil exposes itself?” while Eowyn, who blogs at ‘Gio’s World’, remarked, “BHO’s ’star aligning’ comment is arrogant, presumptious, and obliquely-but-deeply sacrilegious.”
Evil does have a funny way of ‘outing’ itself and it’s counter-intuitive. You’d think that the best liars would be good at hiding their ‘tells’, but it’s been my experience (though I’m not a poker player) that they’re usually only any good at hiding the kinds of tells they would look for in other people like them.
In other words, BHO’s so-routine-that-it’s-no-longer-even-a-story tendency towards ‘gaffiness’ may or may not indicate any awareness on his part of the Matrix references (I’ll be he was, subliminally)… but if he was, he would not have thought much of it — and certainly not given any credence to what I’m about to lay out.
Several years ago, I had a few minutes to chit-chat with the father of a friend of daughter Sunny’s as I was waiting to pick her up from a group sleep-over. Mixed Jewish-Christian couple (him/her). Very nice, very smart, both of them. Sunny’s friend is still a friend but now a lesbian — totally different story. Anyway…
I’m chatting with this other dad at the door and he mentions that the kids were just finishing up watching The Matrix. My eyes lit up.
“You know it’s a Messiah movie, don’t you?” I asked. He looked at me as if in shock. He’d seen it, but he had no idea. Most people don’t.

What I didn’t have time to tell him was that the script can (and has been) broken down at a line-by-line level with intricate scriptural references that are clearly not accidental. In another (Old Testament) vein, someone even wrote his Harvard Divinity School thesis on it (‘Generation Exile and Neo Restoration’). It’s not surprising that it ‘works’ on that level too since the OT was designed by God to point to Jesus.
I knew all that because I had recently finished teaching The Matrix to a high school group (which included Sunny) at a liberal church we used to attend. That multi-week showing and discussion drew the biggest crowd that my co-teacher and I had ever drawn (and were ever to draw) for that ministry there.
I had studied the film extensively before deciding to take the risk and show it. (I’m not sure I’d do that now, but it ‘worked’ at that time in that context). And I had come to the conclusion, as have others, that it was explicitly designed around Christian themes, down to the tiniest details.
Does that make it perfect? No. Substitute for scripture? No. Interesting? Yes. Dangerous in the wrong hands, i.e., if the blind are leading the blind? Yes, like nearly everything in this world. Useful ‘bridge’ to a more explicit Christ-witness conversation? Absolutely. Like nearly everything in this world.
Here’s a quick, ‘lite’ but useful ‘take’ on it at HollywoodJesus. (One of my regular reference stops when I was doing film ministry.) The really interesting stuff can be found over at Awesomehouse.com (the cover page of which I screen-shotted above; on the site, it moves!) The material there goes so deep that I once suspected it might be an arms-length cover for the studio and/or the directors. I’ve decided, after poking around there extensively, that that’s probably not true. Just a fan somewhere.
Like the premise, you have to click the red pill to enter, and then go through several progressive screens to get into the story and parallels. If you’re at work and you’re into this kind of thing, I’ll advise you to stop right now. If you’re anything like me, you’ll wake up four hours later with half a legal pad filled with notes and your head spinning. If you’re impatient and just want to jump to the hyper-linked outline, go here.
Where is this going? For now, just this:
We are all, in America and well beyond it, and very soon (months, I suspect) going to be forced to make the starkest and most important choices of our lives.
Many people will not even know that they’re making a choice of this magnitude. (Not choosing will entail a choice, btw.) Many will assume that the best, clearest life- and self-preserving choice is so obvious that they’ll make the wrong choice for their eternal souls without even thinking about it.
And that’s what satan wants us to think. Or, rather, not think. That it’s obvious. That it’s easy. That only a fool would take the red pill and go through the stark physical, mental (doubt) and emotional pain, suffering, deprivation and persecution that go along with the red pill which is truth.
I’m talking about far more than simply national healthcare communist death-care. As in the Matrix movie, a system of control is being thrust upon us by a someone who is literally an alien… to this country. It doesn’t take a scripture geek, or even a believer, to see that.
There’s an entire scenario mapped out in the secular-sourced HPH ‘bots’ report that practically curled my hair when I read it because it could have been lifted right out of Revelation 13:17 (“no one can buy or sell unless he has the mark, that is, the name of the beast or the number of its name.”)… and it’s forecast, albeit with heavy caveats and only modest confidence levels, to begin emerging this fall.
The ‘mini-scenario’ (part of a much larger, far darker one) describes a revolt against attempts at mass vaccinations and/or national healthcare. The oncoming flu season and rising death toll from it then provide an excuse for more coercive, ham-handed measures at comliance such as restricting access to bank accounts or government services. It goes on from there.
Bottom line: BHO seems unable to hide his ‘tells’ from those of us grounded in faith and scripture. We can see this. Many can’t.
A big choice is coming, folks. Why not make it today? Would you wait until the gun went off to begin training for the race of your life? For the trial of your life? For the trial of your family? For the trial that will determine your eternal destiny? Those who have ears to hear, let them hear…
UPDATE: Don’t like the scenario I outlined above? Try this chilling twist:
The version of President Obama’s universal health care plan pending in the U.S. House would require “end-of-life” counseling for senior citizens… At issue is section 1233 of the legislative proposal that deals with a government requirement for an “Advance Care Planning Consultation.” …One of the most shocking things is page 425, where the Congress would make it mandatory absolutely that every five years people in Medicare have a required counseling session… to recommend “palliative care and hospice” for seniors.
Mark my words: What starts as an option will turn into an accounting trade-off. And so long as the government is the one with the power to make that trade-offs, encouraging premature death will be always be cheaper.
Why not just go back to war and cigarettes?

I led a “movement” about the books and movies that were being shown – in a private religious school – and found myself at the front of an “army of one”. But, I did get a lot of support from people in private.
One of my favorite thoughts is “there I go again, tilting at the windmills” BUT, as long as this is in a moral realm, I’m ok with that.
Have you gotten to Grendal yet? Highschool – sophmore or junior I think. That book is something – I wonder why the powers that be decide to use that type of literature instead of things that are a rich part of our greater history. I think there are a lot of people out there who don’t want to rock the boat – we certainly seem to be the object of scorn (on the one hand) and admiration (on the other) when we do. I personally find it energizing – is that a personality defect?

Four years ago, when ‘Springy’ was 12 and in the seventh grade, we parents got a short e-mail from her English teacher informing us that they’d be watching Butterfly Effect in class and did anyone have any objections.
I counted to ten and wrote a reply outlining why it was not just a loony-bad idea but borderline depraved to expose kids to such material. I cc’d all the other parents. Only one supported me and, as a pastor’s wife, she did so privately.
From most I got silence. From a few, abuse. The IMDB list of keywords for the film should suffice in lieu of a description of the plot. Fortunately the young teacher chose not to show it and I didn’t have to make a scene pulling Springy out of there.
To my utmost joy later-on, I developed a reputation among her friends as “the father who objected to that movie”.

Hi Kurt – I “reviewed” that book several years ago – it was on a book list for a class my oldest was in. The first clue – the teacher was asking for approval. I read the book that night (up til 3am) and said “no”. Read the other two options and said “no”. They were all the same – fevered imaginations writing for our children with the aim of “normalizing” and familiarizing our childrent to deviant, disgusting behavior.
After that experience, I’ve come to the conclusion that a Newberry Medal winning book doesn’t mean ANYTHING. It is meaningless if you are evaluating it against a greater criteria.
A good book on this subject is “Landscape with Dragons” by Michael O’Brien. This book gave words to the feeling of unease that I’ve had with the current literature out there.

Ever hear of a little book called “The Giver”? If you want a creepy imagining of the near-future from a worldly perspective, read it.
It’ll haunt you for days. Oddly enough, it’s a “children’s book”, and it won a Newberry Medal.

The Black Horse could equal Africa… known as the “dark” continent; Famine has been its lot for quite a while. I don’t have a problem with the modified crop issues. Much of the changes make the crop stronger and drought resistant. The resistance to it, IMO, is unscientific and is rooted more in greed from the EU which controls much of the grain sale and seed sales to Africa. This greed has a demonic twist to it, in that, they would rather have the continent starve rather than have crops that would flourish and feed the multitudes. Notice also that much of the blood shed as well well as the ancient slave trade had religious motives… Islam on Christian. Blacks sold blacks… the distinguishing characteristic; it was a Muslim selling a tribal pagan or a Christianized tribe. Darfur today is a case of Muslims killing Christians.
The reference to Amos applies to the order of things; one may attest that Europe has such a famine. I commented before how Jesus first gave the Word of God (being that He is the Word) and then fed the multitudes. Further, highlight the Food for Oil scandal through the prism of the Revelation verse. Oil and Wine are luxuries in the context provided… wheat and barley are necessities. Now, take a hard look at the Food for Oil program through the UN and what really transpired.
The necessities were denied the populace while both Sadaam and the UN were enriched soaking themselves in “wine” and “oil”. Babylon= Iraq in this context; selling itself as a whore to the worlds kingdoms via the UN. I disagree with the term “occupation” by US forces so we can agree to disagree on that. But as far as the biblical connection… revisit Daniel 2:31-49
It is IMO that verses 44-45 refers to the U.S. We were the “stone”. One level the “kingdom” mentioned here could be God’s but for the one term that it would never be destroyed nor delivered up to another “PEOPLE”. That addition makes the kingdom earthly. I believe that our country has been blessed for this reason and why I think so;
1) The country is established on the basis of FREE WILL; that is the hallmark of God’s saving grace. That grace is freely given and we are FREE TO CHOOSE to accept or not. We’re back to Deuteronomy’s choice between LIFE or DEATH.
2) Our country truly is a melting pot. As such it is a microcosm of the entire world. Flawed to be sure… just as humanity is flawed but it truly is the what is best in mankind.
3) From my view, our role as such has three components. We are the new Rome but we are a benevolent power in a world full of not so benevolent entities. Perfect… no; but in times of tragedy and catastrophe we as a nation have stepped up continually. Not to mention we have been consecrated to the Sacred Heart of Mary and she is our Patroness Saint. Further, as the new Rome I will repeat that Peter the Roman will be an American, IMO. This will be the divine counter to the potential AC being our arrogant president.
Again, the balance and logic works here. The last is obviously opinion. Should I be right about Peter the Roman, then I think it will be enough confirmation for me. I will repeat that I believe the beast is the “movement” and the AC will be/is the personification of the movement which rises to the most powerful earthly position in the world. Given the timing of everything else… that makes BHO a pretty stunning candidate.

archangel,
On what you wrote: “We are the new Rome but we are a benevolent power in a world full of not so benevolent entities. Perfect… no; but in times of tragedy and catastrophe we as a nation have stepped up continually.”
see “Anguish Across the Globe as Obama Rolls Back American Influence”
[I can't think of a single nation in the Bible (or the larger sweep of history for that matter) that is of homogeneous character when viewed across time. That's especially true of the nations most central to the Biblical storyline and even more so in terms of their attitudes towards the Jewish people.
Whatever we (the U.S.) might have been (and we have been many things) one critical thing has recently changed: our support for Israel. Are they perfect? Hardly. But as is made clear over and over in the Bible, God deals with the sins of each nation separately. The axe cannot dance in self congratulation for there is One who wields it.
So while what AA says is true, the fact that we are less brutal than Rome does not prove that the system we represent is not the harlot Babylon, due for swift judgment any time now. -ed.]

Archangel:
You are very perceptive. Persecution comes in many forms, and from many directions. I see as we press toward the future events, that our persecution is two-fold – very painful and very glorious. Before anyone thinks I’ve gone off the deep-end, we can read in Acts the privilege to suffer for our faith (an attribute that we haven’t yet acquired in the west):
Acts 5:41 And they departed from the presence of the council, rejoicing that they were counted worthy to suffer shame for his name.
and
Mat 5:12 Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great [is] your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you.
Rejoicing? Hmmm, there must be more to our faith than being charismatic and emotional.
This testing we have ahead of us is going to make us certain about what we believe. Afterwards, we will be much like Job who spoke with such sustaining certainty through his trials even though this was not because of what evil Job may have done, but because God thought of Job very highly when challenged by Satan:
Job 19:25-27 For I know [that] my redeemer liveth, and [that] he shall stand at the latter [day] upon the earth: And [though] after my skin [worms] destroy this [body], yet in my flesh shall I see God: Whom I shall see for myself, and mine eyes shall behold, and not another;…
Furthermore, James gives us some insight, which is God’s plan for our perfection through temptations that works patience and patience works perfection without us lacking anything. It is in no way that this is our means for salvation, but is the converse of “loving much” because of being “forgiven much” – resultingly, we will glory all the more in His presence:
James 1:2-4 My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations; Knowing [this], that the trying of your faith worketh patience. But let patience have [her] perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.
You wrote:
“It just plain works on too many levels.”
Yes, and I continually wonder about the multiple applications of prophecy.
Mystery Babylon, the harlot riding the scarlet beast will experience “famine”.
Rev 18:8 Therefore shall her plagues come in one day, death, and mourning, and famine; and she shall be utterly burned with fire: for strong [is] the Lord God who judgeth her.
Is this a literal famine or a figurative “famine”?
Jesus referred to famine in Matthew 24, and the black horse of Revelation indicates a literal famine:
Rev 6:5-6 And when he had opened the third seal, I heard the third beast say, Come and see. And I beheld, and lo a black horse; and he that sat on him had a pair of balances in his hand. And I heard a voice in the midst of the four beasts say, A measure of wheat for a penny, and three measures of barley for a penny; and [see] thou hurt not the oil and the wine.
Contrasting these, however, we read in Amos:
Amos 8:11 Behold, the days come, saith the Lord GOD, that I will send a famine in the land, not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for water, but of hearing the words of the LORD:….
Since the harlot was an apostate religious entity, was her destruction by or in “famine” a result of the “secular-social gospel” instead of the life-giving truth of scripture?
As you refer to cloning, etc., will genetically modified (GM) seeds (i.e., Monsanto and other agribusinesses) result with a famine of nutrition – not being able to sustain life, while at the same time yielding abundant amounts of crops that are non-nutritional or non-digestible? US Farmers are now legally defending themselves, and losing in court for supposedly violating US patent rights of these agribusiness giants just because pollen is blowing from a neighbor’s field of GM crops that is cross-pollinating their natural grain or non-patented crops. The agribusiness companies have been very aggressive, and often have their agents at the grain elevators to test the incoming grain to determine if it is their patented genetically modified type, and comparing the farmer’s purchase records to see if they are in compliance.
Continuing this scary scenario, during the United States’ occupation of Iraq, there was an “order 81″ from Paul Bremmer (Google search this one – it’s terrifying) that prohibited the Iraqi farmers, who have saved, and used natural seeds for their next year’s crops for centuries, to replant them. Now, they are compelled by “order 81″ to plant agribusiness’ GM seeds throughout the fertile land of Mesopotamia. Will the US corporate hegemony ultimately control world commerce and the food production? So much for bringing democracy to the mid-east! Henry Kissinger once said, “Who controls the oil, controls the nations”. But worse yet, will “He who controls the food, control the people”?
Cloning is just one perspective of controlling/changing the mechanism of life. What about genetically modifying or splicing of genes to achieve “Frankenstein monster” outcomes? Will these animals or beings have a soul? Will they be susceptible to possession by demons? Will these be the modern-day form of nephilim, that are similar to what existed in the days of Noah (Jesus said: “…as in the days of Noah…”)?
Getting back to the twins of “Obamacare” & Cap and Trade, it’s not about healthcare nor is it about saving the environment. Daniel Webster (1782–1852) succinctly said: “The power to tax is the power to destroy.” It’s about nothing less.
Be blessed,
AmeriKen

If you look at today’s WSJ, there’s a story about the ability to literally create mice from adult mice stem cells. [link added -ed.]
The cloning thing is obvious. The positive is that they did this by replicating embryonic stem cells which means they don’t kill babies and are proving adult stem cells will do the job they want. On the flip side however…
Man is now able to CREATE/REPLICATE life from a single cell. Potentially… there’s the miracle. Man recreating life in HIS own image; thereby being made “god”. Such a miracle as well as much of “science” is about the “miracle” of life. IMO, the BEAST is the movement of scientific/political/religious fascism and all that it stands for. The scientific encapsulates the MAN above GOD; the political encapsulates MAN=GOD as demonstrated by the emperors of Rome, Hitler, and probably BHO; the religious is encapsulated by Islam and the false prophet Mohammed. ITS ALL THERE.
[And if that doesn't shock you, try these (and note the dates):
July 11 -- Iran Claims It Is First Country in Middle East to Clone a Cow
April 22 -- Doctor at Secret Middle East Facility Claims Human Cloning (Also here)
(That's the 75-year Hebrew anniversary of one of Hitler's most important speeches to the Reichstag. The following day, BHO spoke with forked tongue at Holocaust Remembrance Day... the same day that a super-ancient, super-powerful gamma ray burst reached earth -ed.]
The temple refers to many things… initally THE temple of Paul’s time and todays Temple Mount. Man’s body is regarded as a temple as well. If Christians are swayed to the fascist science- by extension the temples that are their bodies ARE invaded. That can be through abortion, drug abuse, sex abuse, etc. By allowing the political fascist motif to take hold politically, the temples of free will within politics is invaded. With that you get things like the Soviet Union, NAZI Germany, genocide, starvation and famine ala Africa, etc. I really don’t think its necessary to go into the Islamo-Fascist results because its obvious.
IT WORKS ON EVERY LEVEL and is encapsulates the Culture of DEATH vs the Culture of LIFE. What were those choices in Deuteronomy? Death vs Life.
It just plain works on too many levels. No owl-worshiping ex-presidents, no Masons, no dragons coming out of the sea, none of that. The church is persecuted from all of those angles, DAILY. And it is the church that stands in its way. The BEAST vs the BRIDE… who awaits the BRIDE GROOM. Its the linchpin around it all. The astronomical stuff is the way upon which it all gets wiped away and begun anew. HE does come back when the veil is lifted… HE is REVEALED to the BRIDE; Like the first kiss in marriage… THE VEIL IS LIFTED so the bride can SEE THE GROOM AS HE IS.
That is a time/space event. It is a NATURAL event within the Nature religion that is Judaism/Christianity.
Agape as always.

Ok, right now where I work, I’ve been trying to assist one of my clients with diabetes with getting new meds.
Put aside the matrix stuff for a sec in the following for instance:
Sometimes the Doc might want to order the red pill, even though it costs more because maybe the blue pill might affect your kidneys more so than the red one does.
If you only have one functioning kidney, hey, maybe the more expensive red pill really is the better pill for you.
I’m right now trying to cut through the whole “pre-authorization” crap his medicare part D drug plan puts us through over just such an issue right now.
At least for now, there is always the option of just paying cash (expensive as it can be).
Does anyone even now if paying cash will still be an option if Obama-Care comes to pass?
And even if just paying cash out of pocket remains an option, if the med isn’t on the Government Obamacare ‘approved’ list wouldn’t that eventually down the road really affect the whole drug manufacturing and development industry?
How the heck would a drug Co. support itself if their meds don’t make the big govt. list — they will get forced out of business trying to compete with a giant monopoly.
So great, Red pill Inc. goes under — even though there med had less side effects for diabetics with kidney problems, oh well.
See where I’m going with this line of thought?

AmeriKen… ditto !!!
If I may quote from the Catechism of the Catholic Church which uses 2 Thess 2:4-12; 1 Thess 5:2-3; 2 Jn 7; and 1 Jn 2:18,22, a very concise explanation of the churches ultimate trial is provided.
http://www.vatican.va/archive/ENG0015/__P1V.HTM
Before Christ’s second coming the Church must pass through a final trial that will shake the faith of many believers. The persecution that accompanies her pilgrimage on earth will unveil the “mystery of iniquity” in the form of a religious deception offering men an apparent solution to their problems at the price of apostasy from the truth. the supreme religious deception is that of the Antichrist, a pseudo-messianism by which man glorifies himself in place of God and of his Messiah come in the flesh.
——–
Now as for the the AC taking over the Temple as well the “falling away”… I would contend that in some aspects, they have occurred. The Judeo-Christian identity is under much peril in the West as well as in the ME. One just needs to look at the secularization of Europe and here.
As for the “temple”… remember that the Temple in Jurusalem was still standing when Paul wrote that letter. What the Imperial Romans (with an Emperor considering himself god) destroyed, the adherents of the False prophet Mohammed have had control of for o’ these many centuries. I refer here to the Temple Mount. Understand the alliance between the demonic fascism that was/is Nazism and Islam; and one begins to see the ultimate beast. Based on 2Thess 2:7… “The mystery of inequity (THE AC) is already at work (Emperors as gods and by extension the beginnings of man glorifying himself); provided only that he who is at present restraining it 9More than likely St. Michael the Archangel), does still restrain, until he is gotten out of the way. (He moved completely out of the way probably around 1914- coinciding with Pope Leo)”
For those interested, I highly recommend perusing the Catechism for many of the reasonings and explanations.
http://www.vatican.va/archive/ENG0015/_INDEX.HTM
Also, one will find that it is scripturally based with all the necessary cross references.

I’m not being passive about what is coming in this world, but we do win!
In these last days, God is making our obedience and testimony priceless in His sight:
Rev 12:11 And they overcame him (Satan) by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.
Jhn 12:24 Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except a corn of wheat fall into the ground and die, it abideth alone: but if it die, it bringeth forth much fruit.
Jhn 12:25 He that loveth his life shall lose it; and he that hateth his life in this world shall keep it unto life eternal.
Jhn 12:26 If any man serve me, let him follow me; and where I am, there shall also my servant be: if any man serve me, him will [my] Father honour.
It has taken me a life-time to come to this point and abandon myself to His perfect will.
Furthermore, we need to get this “rapture” thing sorted out (I would love to see much serious debate). We’re not gettin outta here early. Paul is quite clear what will occur before we are caught up. All living Christians (not only those “left behind” as Tim La Haye advocates) will know, identify, and experience the anti-Christ without a doubt, and he shall be in the temple:
2Th 2:1 Now we beseech you, brethren, BY THE COMING OF OUR LORD JESUS, AND OUR GATHERING TOGETHER UNTO HIM,
2Th 2:3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for THAT DAY SHALL NOT COME, (to what day is St. Paul referring – see 1st verse again) except there come a falling away first, and that MAN OF SIN BE REVEALED, the son of perdition;
2Th 2:4 Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God (Allah has no son), or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.
We have a considerable amount of time (at least 3.5 years) of severe pain and anguish before we get outta here – get ready it’s not a picnic!
Therefore, let us get busy about His business: Jhn 9:4 – I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work.

The Catholic Church does not preach or believe in the rapture. I’m Catholic but also a thinking person and not a mind-numbed zombie of the Magisterium.
For a brief moment last Tuesday, as the time of the solar eclipse over North America approached, I considered the rapture as a possibility. This was my conclusion (in addition to my 2 comments to NewWineskins’ “From the Four Winds” thread):
Assuming that I was among the chosen, I will not go, though I long to see and be with the magnificent Triune God and the good angels. I will not leave because I will not abandon those I love to bewilderment, loss, and the unimaginable suffering to come. Nor will I abandon the rest of humanity, albeit unbelieving, to the Man of Sin and the Beast. Instead, I choose to be in the great battle, fighting to save as many souls as possible before the end. For to save even one from an eternity in Hell is worth the fight.
I choose to follow the example the Christ set for us. He did not run away. He freely chose calumny, humiliation, torture, and death by the cruelest form of execution of the Roman Empire. He loves us so much He willingly sacrificed Himself for our redemption.
We are not our own, for we have been purchased at a price. And so I choose His way.

“There’s an entire scenario mapped out in the secular-sourced HPH ‘bots’ report that practically curled my hair when I read it because it could have been lifted right out of Revelation 13:17 (“no one can buy or sell unless he has the mark, that is, the name of the beast or the number of its name.”)… and it’s forecast, albeit with heavy caveats and only modest confidence levels, to begin emerging this fall.”
The NAZI’s provided patches and armbands. Before too long, it is going to become painfully clear to EVERYONE that BHO is a Fascist/National Socialist. The problem with using the acronym NAZI is twofold:
1) Its a GERMAN acronym and,
2) It has now morphed into a “white only” synonym for racist.
The reality is that EVERYTHING that party stood for IS EVIL. It is SATANIC and DEMONIC. IT is THE beast, IMO. Look at everything that it did pre WWII:
1) Established and RATIONED healthcare which freely used abortions for undesireables as well as euthanasia… attacking the human life WITHOUT shame. You were safe as long as you wore a swastika.
2) There was deep underground support for homosexuality within the party hierarchy as well as great support for Islam in the fight against the Jews. They were natural bedfellows.
3) Nationalization of all major industry where access to goods for the purpose of purchase or selling was strictly regulated to PARTY MEMBERS.
We’ve already seen this before and we still see it in the ME where post-NAZI sensibilities took root within ISLAM. Try and buy or sell anything in many of those countries WITHOUT worshiping the false prophet.
Islamo-fascism is no different the BHO-fascism which in no different than NAZI-fascism. THAT is the beast and IMO BHO is now the current head of it.

Got my White House e-mail from Mr. Axelrod – “This isn’t a joke”. I’ve never seen a business e-mail like that one before.
[Got that one too. It's hard to even know where to begin with something that basically says: Anyone who disagrees with us for any reason is doing so for infantile reasons and doesn't appreciate the seriousness of this like we do.
Ironic because the reason I'm on their mailing list in the first place: I sent an e-mail asking the president to prove he was born in the United States. -ed.]
Psalm 51. I’m with you all – but, like the apostles in the garden, fear that I will fall asleep.

Amen, Lisa.
A claim could be made that we are being whipped up into hysteria by Limbaugh, and by Art. However, after the past eight years, as the media lied about things which I knew first hand, and then, in the past two years, as the O-man himself would let slip a bit of the truth when the TelePromTer broke, I can do my own hysteria, thank you very much. Even if the very pages of the bill did not state in black and white that private care would be phased out, and rather quickly, too, it is as obvious as the skin tags on my waist that a government plan would engage in anticompetitive practices that would be illegal for a private company. Nothing that these people have done, for at least sixteen years, from overloading Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, to screaming about social program cuts every time the Republicans tried to cut the rate of GROWTH in those programs, (and then complaining about rising deficits)to nationalizing a huge part of American manufacturing industry, has worked, has ever worked when it was tried elsewhere, was ever expected to work. This is not health care reform. This is a coup, quite bloodless in the beginning, massively lethal in a very short time. I had thought that, as a nurse, I would be recession- proof. I can foresee circumstances in the next two years that would put me out of that, too. What if I no longer have a conscience exemption from euthanasia? I currently do home care, always of patients who will not improve in this life. Am I supposed to be the one to turn of the ventilator at the end of my shift? What if I no longer had a conscience exemption if I worked in a surgery center, as I have done? The last time, eighteen years ago, a doctor tried to run in a late abortion as a routine D&C. The nurse doing the admission found out what was happening, and alerted everyone else. The entire center went on a very sudden, quite silent, and totally effective strike, until the director returned from some appointment off premises, and straightened things out. That was then. What about in two years? “That none may buy nor sell that have not his Mark upon them.” This is moving from a literal mark to a more far-reaching and ominous dimension. As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.

Great post, Art.
Obamacare scares the heck out of me and my health care providers because I am suffering from incurable cancer. I am currently receiving palliative chemo that seems to be slowing, but not stopping the spread. If Obamacare comes in, people with incurable, terminal cancer like me would probably be cut from the very expensive drugs we currently get, and receive hospice counseling instead. Scary stuff! I’m only 46, and I feel that I have a lot more life left in me.
Culture of death, indeed.
More and more people are waking up to BHO’s agenda. Why did it take so long? Why was the mainstream media so derelict in their duty to inform voters?
All I know that as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.
[Be not afraid, Lisa. I think you just got about 1,000 new prayer warriors storming heaven on your behalf. The great physician needs to be paid only in faith and worship. -ed.]
