If only to dance away from a hot comment thread on an unexpectedly hot topic (swine flu vaccinations; see especially Evenshine’s comment from Noon today (Wed.), I bring the oh-so-happy news that any Bible-literate Drudge reader has probably already figured out: the second seal of Revelation 6 seems like it is about to be broken — and no I don’t mean that they’re clubbing them in the arctic for pelts again. 
Verses 2-4 read as follows (ESV):
And I looked, and behold, a white horse! And its rider had a bow, and a crown was given to him, and he came out conquering, and to conquer. When he opened the second seal, I heard the second living creature say, “Come!” And out came another horse, bright red. Its rider was permitted to take peace from the earth, so that men should slay one another, and he was given a great sword.
But, as a friend asked me yesterday on e-mail: “Do you believe the first [seal] has already been broken?” I wasn’t sure. I’d made some vague associations between seal #1 and BHO’s election, but I wanted to do more research to be sure before I answered. It didn’t take long, as some more astute prophecy buffs will no doubt already know. Short answer: yes, IMHO. Once again, the signs point to BHO. Here’s what I wrote back:
I try and keep a ‘light’, semi-agnostic mind about the particulars on this stuff so I can remain open to other possibilities… [however], read in context of his heading the UN Security Council next week, one could argue that the horse has already been “beheld” and now he/it is marching out. Remember the DNC convention in Denver? (the USA’s very own urban “high place”) at Bronco Statium?

Short take on the white horse: Not only might the DNC have fulfilled Christian prophecy (Rev 6:2) but Muslim prophecy also. (Forgive me, prophecy buffs… I’m catching up.)
Why did Barack Obama hold the last night of the Democratic Convention in the Denver Broncos Football Stadium? Was it just a coincidence that the mascot of the Denver Bronco’s was an Arabian white stallion named Thunder?
In A.D. 621, at the age of 51, Mohammed laid down at dusk and curled up in a plush carpet at his cousin’s house, only to be abruptly awakened by the archangel Gabriel, who invited him to come outside.
As he stepped through the door, he was introduced to a huge white horse with giant wings like an eagle. Gabriel told him that the horse once belonged to Abraham, and that his name was El Barack meaning, “White horse” and “Thunder”
Allah told Mohammed that in the end of days, when the “day of recompense” arrives, the flying white horse will return for the resurrected Mohammed to mount and ride again.
Is it just a coincidence that President Barack has the same name as Mohammed’s horse? Also, is it possible that Mr. Obama was sending a message to the Muslim world? Perhaps he was saying, “El Barack has returned! It is time for Mohammed to ride again across the world!”
So as the results of seal #1 begin to unfold next week, we see the faint early glimmers of seal #2 — war. Even Drudge seems to ‘get’ that something is funky with the timing of BHO announcing that the U.S. would withdraw from its commitments to provide a missile shield to the Czech Republic and Poland on the 70th anniversary of Russia’s invasion of Poland, after Stalin colluded with Hitler to squeeze-play both countries.
I think of the move as a kind of anti-Reagan: Evil empire? What evil empire? I don’t see no stinking evil empire. Besides, what is evil? For that matter, what is truth?
The justification for the commitment, under the Bush administration, was to shield both countries from a burgeoning threat by Iran (with news news on that front emerging today also) — one of Russia’s clear allies and largest arms-buyers and clearly no friend to Israel. Argue the shield as you like. I’m not sure they were aiming at Eastern Europe. We’re broke and over-extended. That’s not what I’m on about.
At the very least, it’s horrendous diplomacy for a man who campaigned on the promise that he’d make the world ‘like’ us again. (Which parts of the world, exactly?) To offend and enrage 38.5 million people just by the timing and with a mere hand-wave is the height of insensitivity (sorta like giving Old Glory a dirt nap on D-Day). Causing the last Pope to virtually spin in his grave at the betrayal is another. But I’ll let other bloggers deal with all that.
My main question is: Why this day? I mean really — seventy years to the day. It doesn’t take a Biblical scholar to recognize that it’s a highly significant prophetic number (“7 x 10 signifies perfect spiritual order carried out with all spiritual power and significance”). Note that “perfection” in spiritual terms can be either positive or, in this case, negative. If BHO is not the antichrist, then he’s either, 1) remarkably ignorant of history, 2) deliberately out to antagonize Poland or 3) super-aware of his timeline, task-master and prophetic role. The 100-days/maitreya thing (X77) says as much.
Russian emboldened. Putin on a roll (on his way back to formal leadership… on the verge of supplying game-changing ground-to-air missiles to Iran, forcing Israel’s hand). The U.S. president seeming to almost be in cahoots with both against Israel. (Who ever said the white horse doesn’t train with the red one?).
It’s not hard to see how treachery and betrayal of longstanding, democratic, peaceful allies Poland, the Czech Republic and Israel, (i.e., the Jewish people) in favor of an increasingly cozy relationship with Russia and by extension, Iran doesn’t represent a kind of wayback machine to… 1939.
Those three became pivot points for WWII. The players then were Hitler and Stalin. Their non-aggression pact came just nine days before hostilities broke out when Germany invaded Poland. This may not be a formal pact, but it might as well be.
Last time we gave the green light to a rapacious dictator it took just seven days for him to act. In WWII, one could argue any number of timelines, but the most conservative would trace a line from October 3, 1938 when Neville Chamberlain gave his “Peace in our Time” speech to September 1, 1939 when German tanks rolled into Poland.
Seven days? Nine? Eleven months? I don’t know who’s going to start it, but as the sober-minded Bret Stephens outlined in the WSJ (H/T: AA), U.S. policies seem curiously aimed at painting Israel into an untenable corner. In light of Iran’s clearly stated goals and rapidly evolving capabilities, the BHO administration is effectively forcing it to resort to military actions that all agree will have dire, unpredictable and domino-like-awful consequences. Could it be that that’s what BHO wants? If he’s the ac… if he’s the rider on the white horse, in cahoots with the red-horse rider, it would make tons of sense.
Entertained? Intrigued? Upset? What are you going to do about it? Other than prayer, I don’t have the answer, folks. This is real and more importantly, it’s happening fast. The red horse is chomping at the bit.

I’m sorry I was away from my computer a few days and did not realize people were trying to get some response. Anyway, I love the interest. First, let me tackle the overlapping issue. The short answer: in this case there is no overlap. The White Horse of the Apocalypse does not ride until Way into Rev. chapter 6. We are still in the Church age today. Rev. 1 – 3. Jesus is still dealing with the Church. This is a good thing, it means for the world we are still living in the age of grace. Notice who is breaking the seals in Rev. 6; it’s Jesus. In other words, The tribulation is a judgment of God on a Christ rejecting world. Look at all the judgments — notice you don’t see demons or the devil or the world breaking seals, blowing trumpets or pouring out bowls. Why? Because this is a tribulation FROM God not a tribulation from the world. I constantly hear Christians say things like: “well, you know we go through the tribulation because Jesus says, ‘in this world we will have tribulation.’” Yes, that is true, but again the trib. is a judgment from God. That’s way I don’t believe we go through the trib. period. We were already judged at the Cross. Jesus took upon Himself our judgment why would He send us through it again? He wouldn’t. As a matter of fact He couldn’t and be just at the same time because being judged twice for the same crime, in this case our sins, is double jeopardy. Your point concerning Jesus defying everyone’s expectations is interesting. But remember, the peoples expectations ran counter to what the scriptures taught. Jesus fulfilled each prophesy concerning His birth, life, death and resurrection in the proper order. It wasn’t His fault the people wanted the liberator of the nation before the liberator of the soul. Jesus stuck to the script; the people did not. If we stick to the script I think we’ll see that the Church is removed before the beatings begin. Anyway, I hope this helped. God bless

The scripture verses are numerous but for simplicity lets look at Dan. 9 and 2 Thes. 2. Dan begin 9: 24 – 27 begins,
“seventy weeks have been decreed for your people(Israel) and your holy city to finish the transgression, to make an end of sin, to make atonement for iniquity, to bring in everlasting righteousness, to seal up vision and prophesy and to anoint the most holy place. So you are to discern and know that from the issuing of a decree to restore and rebuild Jerusalem until Messiah the Prince there will be seven weeks and sixty two weeks;… then after the sixty two weeks the Messiah will be cut off and have nothing, and the prince who is to come will destroy the city and the sanctuary…. And he will make a firm covenant with the many for one week but in the midst of the week he will put a stop to sacrifice and grain offering; and on the wing of abominations will come one who makes desolate even until a complete destruction, one that is decreed, is poured out on the one who makes desolate.”
Really quick here. A week year represents a seven year time period. The old testament jews used a seven year period much like we use a ten year system. It represented completeness.
I will break it down. “there will be seven years and sixty two years” This equals 69 years of 360 day years; in other words 69 x 7 (360 day years) = 483 years or 173,880 days. Remember this time period is for the Jewish people not the Church. See vrs. 24 above for your people(Israel). At the end of the 69th week the Messiah is cut off having nothing. There is still a seven year period left to be fulfilled. On March 14th 445 B.C. King Artaxerxes issued the decree to rebuild Jerusalem. See Neh. 2:5-18. 483 years later, to the 173,880 day, Jesus rode into Jerusalem on a donkey. Up to that time He refused to be proclaimed King arguing that it was not yet His time. See the Marriage at Canaan story, and when He feed the five thousand. Jesus waited for the appointed time to be proclaimed King but Israel rejected Him. Remember, this is when Jesus laments over Jerusalem and says that now He would go to the gentiles until you (Jerusalem) learn to say Hosanna Hosanna, blessed is He who comes in the name of the LORD. At this time, the 483 week years come to a stop; but they are not completed. There is still one week left. The seventieth week. Remember, this is a Jewish time piece not a gentile. Not a church time piece. When the Church is removed then God will deal once again with Israel and the seventieth week will commence again until it is finished and vrs. 24 is proclaimed. Remember, God loves the Jewish people. And He is not willing to leave them in their unbelief in the Messiah Jesus. He will do anything to restore them and drawl them to Himself. Notice how Jewish the seventieth week is. The sacrifice in the temple is continued, the grain offerings are continued and so on. To add to this look at Matt. 24. Notice: “When you see the Desolation of Abomination spoken by the prophet Daniel, standing in the holy place then those who are in Judea must flee… but pray that your fleeing is not in the winter or on a Sabbath day.” Again, if this is for the Church way would we care if our fleeing was on a Sabbath day? All this to say that the Tribulation, the last seven week period in Daniels prophecy is not a Church time piece. It is a Jewish time piece.
When the Church is removed the Man of Sin will be revealed and make a covenant with the nations, and especially Israel, for seven years. In the midst of this week year he will break his covenant, proclaim himself to be God as he sits in the newly build temple, and will turn his wrath on a once trusting Israel. At this point the Jews will flee Jerusalem. Look, this writing is way too long but if your still interested I will explain 2 Thes. 2 upon your reply. God bless.

Something very interesting: Krakatoa in 1883 affected the whole world and was the loudest event ever. IT altered the Sunda Strait.
Sumatra in 2004 actually changed the worlds axis and was a gigantic event and sumatra means “the sum and substance of an argument”
The reason I think Krakatoa is important is because IMO it is what is spoken of in Revelation 9…The bottomless pit prophecy. 5months =150 years from the date when that occurred. I could be wrong of course LOL. Just consider it though and if you add it up it comes to the year 2033 and the 70 weeks of Daniel prophecy took us to the year 33 AD. It sort of makes sense but then Jesus says He has to shorten it because no flesh would be saved so that means He could come anytime!
I have to wonder tough with whose power these events are occurring, It says in Revelation that the beast is given the power to hurt men. So could these events be man-made events to get men to be subjugated to whomever it is doing these things? It has to be a possibility these days with things like Haarp and Suma and there are quite a few more.
THe 7 year treaty is not worded that way in the bible. The bible says “covenant with the many.”

In Daniel 11:39 it says the coming antichrist “SHALL DIVIDE the land for gain”, note in verse 40 it says “at the time of the end” this prophecy has NOT BEEN FULFILLED YET.

The “Black horse” represents inflation also, the ‘bailouts and fallouts’ of unbalanced scales is rampant today as a reckless Congress spends and passes Bills on a whim!
The “war horse” rode on a ‘war of terror’ with 9-11, the Iraq war and the ‘war’ in Afghanistan.
Now Vladmir Putin “chomps at the bit”, Ezekiel 38 & 39 cometh!

Re. inflation and famine -- something I learned in my consulting "travels" is how comparatively "thin" the commodity markets are, and how many people are vulnerable to even small price swings in them.
Without going into the details, the gist is that any shift of money from equities to commodities (e.g., by first-world investors selling Microsoft and GM and buying pork belly, wheat and soybean futures in a crisis) instantly consigns billions of people to starvation. Sobering thought. It's not hard to see how a wide-scale war would precipitate that (not to mention reducing production).
The other soon-to-emerge story nobody is talking about is that global harvests are way way down this year (and last). Cool temps are one factor but not the only one (bee population declines are another).

When you hear the trumpet I think He will arrive.
IMHO that is the next trumpet to sound. Because in Daniel 11:45, this prophecy seems to have been fulfilled:
11: 45 And he shall plant the tabernacles of his palace between the seas in the glorious holy mountain; yet he shall come to his end, and none shall help him.
Then the next chapter starts like this:
Daniel 12
1And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which standeth for the children of thy people: and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time: and at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book.
2And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt.
3And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever.
4But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased.

We are seeing birthpangs but we are not in the seal judgements yet! They do not begin until the Anti-Christ upholds a 7 year treaty with Israel. That has not happened yet and won’t until after the Church, the Bride of Christ, is called home.
[With all due respect, I have seen lots of different linear, sequential timelines for the end-times but no good investigations into ways in which they may overlap or, similarly, ways in which the milestones may have already been fulfilled, i.e., in ways people didn't expect. (Note that Jesus defied nearly everyone's expectations at the time for how the Messiah would manifest and what he would do). You may be 100% correct JFM. I like to keep some alternative readings of the very same scriptures in mind however. -ed.]

This event will take place when God, who is withholding DECIDES TO LET the antichrist be revealed and NOT UNTIL!
The ‘antichrist’ is pictured in the ‘Agricultural mural’ of the “six ‘15′ ft. murals of “names of blasphemy”, in Revelation 17:3, that are wrapped inside the forehead of our Capitol Dome, upon whom the ‘WOMAN SITS’. Revelation 17:9-10
In the ‘War mural’ you will see this is nothing but a ‘hidden’ pictorial WAR PLAN against ‘Tyranny and Kingly power’!
The “Tyranny” they are fighting is God the Father and “Kingly power” is His ‘anointed’ Son with the “woman” of Revelation 12:6 and 12:14-17 trying to escape with them!

Wow. I started to read the long pdf file and was interested in the linking of America with Manasseh. This reminded me of the Prayer of Manasseh, which we Orthodox use during Lent. The prayer is very relevant to the call for repentance and seems to be appropriate to use in our times. Here is the King James Version:

Be not angry with me for ever, by reserving evil for me; neither condemn me to the lower parts of the earth. For thou art the God, even the God of them that repent; and in me thou wilt shew all thy goodness: for thou wilt save me, that am unworthy, according to thy great mercy.
