Remarkable… on many levels.
A sculpture by Chinese artist Liu Bolin titled “Burning Man Obama”… represents U.S. President Barack Obama’s impact on the world.

When I saw this, I thought of this Scripture –
Apocalypse 19:19-20
And I saw the beast, and the kings of the earth, and their armies gathered together to make war with him that sat upon the horse, and with his army. And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet, who wrought signs before him, wherewith he seduced them who received the character of the beast, and who adored his image. These two were cast alive into the pool of fire, burning with brimstone.
Perhaps just a random thought…Time will tell.

Given the time frame needed to design and build the piece, is the artist reacting as though Zero is the hope of the world or a disaster? Did the Chinese artist create this piece from his pagan religious standpoint or that of the Christian?
[Who knows? As with any halfway thought-provoking* piece of art though, e.g., this or this *(as distinguished from meritorious or uplifting), the "burning man" piece invites multiple interpretations, not the least being a reference to this super-pagan, Babylon-revisited annual festival of the hippie-illuminati: "Once a year, tens of thousands of participants gather in Nevada's Black Rock Desert to create Black Rock City, dedicated to community, art, self-expression, and self-reliance. They depart one week later, having left no trace whatsoever. BLACK rock? Self reliance? No trace? (gone like grass or mist). We could have a field day with that one!
The artist may not have been aware of all of those themes when he created the work. It doesn't matter. It's been my observation that God can 'push' prophetic themes, images, allegories and the like through entirely pagan channels, e.g., a Chinese artist,or the Western entertainment industry. Those with a Biblical worldview can 'see' the larger patterns, even as the very same works can 'pass' according to secular interpretations. -ed.]
